Sabrevois

Sabrevois was named after the village near the Richeliu River in southern Quebec where Gilles Benoit of Vignoble des Pins first made decent wine from the variety. Sabrevois is very winter hardy with good disease resistance, and is quite vigorous. It produces clusters of small to medium size, with moderate sugars and slightly high acids. Sabrevois is hardy to -31F or better. Selected by Elmer Swenson.
